FrostByte secures €1.3M of pre-seed investment

We’re excited to announce that we have just closed FrostByte's pre-seed funding round at €1.3M, with backing from UNIIQ - Finance for the Future, Paeonia Group, InnovationQuarter, Graduate Ventures, and an angel investor!

A bit of context on what we're doing and why this matters:
Every qubit in a quantum computer today needs its own chain of bulky, room-temperature electronics to control and read it out. As the industry scales from hundreds to thousands to eventually millions of qubits, this approach runs out of road. Cables become unmanageable, cryostats run out of space, and costs spiral.

FrostByte's mission is to miniaturise control electronics for quantum technologies — making them denser, cheaper, and more scalable. We design integrated circuits that work inside the cryostat, right next to the qubits. Our first products are a family of cryogenic RF switches that replace bulky room-temperature switching with compact, low-power components operating down to millikelvin temperatures across a range of frequencies.

None of this is possible without our founding team: James Kroll, Luc Enthoven, and our scientific advisors Fabio Sebastiano and Masoud Babaie, whose foundational work in cryo-CMOS made this company possible in the first place.
